blackfrancineActually, no. This isn't important. But I'm jittery and bored and sleepless. So, I'm posting this.
Woo hoo! I just started watching the Vampire Diaries last week, and I'm almost caught up. My feelings about it can be summed up thusly: I ♥ Damon. And Jenna. And Caroline. And Alaric and Jeremy are A-OK too. Elena isn't too bad either. The end.
Well, psych. That's not really the end. I have one more thought--I love the Salvatore brothers' relationship. That's some compelling human drama. I mean, man am I predictable. Nothing reels me in like a good sibling story, I tell ya.
In other news, I've been thinking about doing the 30 Days of Buffy meme for a little while now. Hopefully, it'll be a way of getting myself to post more often. And also I get to talk about my ~feelings~, which is pretty much my favorite pastime.
Heh. Not really. That was a joke. I don't like to talk about my real feelings (though it seems like I do it an awful lot lately)--but I do like to talk about my Buffy-related feelings. So, I figured I'd go ahead and kick it off right now with day one, my favorite female character...
My favorite female character is the Buffalo. Buffy Summers. Slayer comma the.
I recently wrote a huge long essay on my undying love for Buffy. So, I feel like I'd really just be rehashing what I said there if I were to write another essay or explanation--but in short, I love her for her intelligence (and I will resort to fisticuffs to defend Buffy's intelligence), for her humor, for her nurturing spirit, for her capacity for forgiveness, for her bravery, for her tireless pursuit of selfhood, and for her never ending faith in the power of love. I expounded on those ideas (with visual aids!) here.
But here's a NEW and improved Buffy-themed picspam for your viewing pleasure. Tune in next time for favorite male character. WHO WILL IT BE? WILL IT BE SNYDER? WILL IT BE JONATHAN? I don't know!
Also-- I hate the world right now. I just figured out that after hemming and hawing over Season 8, that I bought the wrong damn thing. And I'm gonna have to take it back to the bookstore (and I only bought it from the bookstore because I had a gift card)--and they always give you the side-eye when you return books. Which, I get. I'd be giving side-eye if I were them. But this is totally legit! I haven't read them. And they were expensive. So, that's not gonna be fun. Boo-urns.
